Stepping it up by going underwater
I’m so excited to have gotten to work with this family on so many weddings. And a few more to come. Within Anna and Josh, our original plan was to take photos on the side of Mount St. Helens. Unfortunately, the weather was just not that great. We could’ve gotten up there, but it would’ve been very difficult to get back down. Lots of snow and too many clouds.
So after taking a moment to drop off some coffee for them to enjoy from my coffee roasting Company shepherd coffee roasters, I decided to ask them if they were interested in doing a shoot partially underwater. I knew that they were the adventuring type when I realize that if we had gone to Mount Saint Helens, to get to our spot it would’ve taken an hour and a half hike through the mountainside.
We decided to go to a cove they gave us the best atmosphere to enjoy the waves as well as be in the water. There was no way around the fact that it was going to be cold. The couple brought along a couple of wet suits and a few surfboards to use as far as the shoot, so you guys will definitely see those in the photos. For myself I decided to avoid any wetsuits because I didn't want to fiddle with something new while trying to focus on photography. Definitely would have been nice to have, but the cold would only be temporary in the photos would be forever. If you've ever tried to get out of a wetsuit then you know the pain.
Anna and Josh's wedding will happen in May, the day before my birthday in fact! I have plenty of room for the rest of the year and would be excited to share the ongoing discount with anybody interested. Hope to see you guys soon!
Up to Smith Rock

A lot of travel and it was worth it.
This is a very quick look at my time at Smith Rock with a couple for their engagement photos. The travel was long but I'd like to think that it was worth it. An early tip for most people wanting to go to Smith Rock is to go early, that way you could experience the vastness of each part of the park. We took a little bit of time to check out the lower Trail, and then spent some of our sunlight Beneath The Rock itself to include it in the background of the photos.I hope you guys enjoyed this little collection of photos, wedding photos to come soon!
This year has been both an exciting and Rocky start. We didn't know what the year was going to bring, but I'm seeing things open more and more. I hope to see you guys as part of it!
