Model Blue Preset
Hey everyone! We are excited to announce our latest free preset release! This one is called “Model Blue Preset,” and is all about people and portraits. We wanted to create a preset you can easily use when finishing up the last few touches of any of your portrait photoshoots by simply downloading and applying. The design for Model Blue was inspired from a photoshoot I had with my friend Natalie one overcast outing in downtown Portland.
It was a cold January day when Natalie came into town for a short visit. When we met up, I hadn't got there at the right time, which caused us to end up running into a few of her friends who were also out walking in the freezing cold. Natalie actually has a history as a model, and the friends of hers that we met were previous photographers that had worked with her. They all did a bit of catching up and we chatted for a little while, most of which I no longer remember. But what I will always remember is at least this one conversation topic we discussed. Boba tea is gross, and ice cream is delicious. Although, that was mostly just me saying that. In any case, we had a fun time getting these shots that cold and cloudy day.
We would definitely recommend using Model Blue with an overcast urban environment and with neutral and gray tones to get the best overall end results. This is designed around photoshoots with people as the main subject, so portraits would be best to use this preset on, but have fun experimenting with different subjects if you're feeling extra adventurous! When working with lighter skin tones specifically, Model Blue Preset gives a warmer complexion, allowing for more depth in the photo. Definitely try this preset out on your next photoshoot, or to spruce up an older set of portraits!
